MS Mathematics Statistics (Amherst)

Within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, you may choose to concentrate your studies in Statistics through the Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The M.S. provides you with training in statistical applications, statistical computing, and theory, preparing you for jobs in industry or government, or for moving on to a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics. The Ph.D. option provides a combination of theory and application preparing you for positions in academia, industry, or government.
