MS Engineering Management
Employers are currently seeking individuals who have experience in management as well as an advanced knowledge in the field of engineering. The Master of Science in Engineering Management is an interdisciplinary degree that allows you to learn about a specialty area in either construction management or energy.
The Master of Science program in Engineering Management equips students to be effective managers in their fields. Students learn to manage projects, manage people, and make strategic, well-informed decisions.

- Energy
- Construction Management
- General Engineering Management
Our program is open to students with a degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
Alongside faculty members, you may research:
- Atmospheric corrosion of structural materials
- Cold-formed steel application for structural materials
- Logistics and supply chain management
- Materials synthesis and processing
- Mechanical property evaluation of nanoscale materials
- Minimum quantity lubrication and green lubricant development
- Structural resilience and structural health monitoring
- Thermal management
As a graduate of our program, you will be positioned to meet the needs of employers and the job market as a whole.
Students who graduate from this program will be able to:
- Develop Design of Experiments for Six Sigma and associated methodologies for cost and quality improvement in process and product engineering
- Manage the development of engineering projects and their human and societal impacts
- Engage in strategic and entrepreneurship activities
Teaching and research assistantships provide support for many graduate students. In addition to a monthly stipend, assistantships also qualify students for in-state tuition rates, and many students receive tuition and fee support.
Scholarships are available to graduate students as well. The College of Engineering also offers scholarships to qualified students throughout the year.
