Overview

This course will cover a range of topics at the cutting-edge of the discipline using the latest digital tools. Topics will cover core aspects of Electronic Engineering along with their application in design and manufacturing. The project will also develop research skills and you will learn to apply these to real and current engineering problems.

Project work will be a strong focus of the course and you will learn interactively by applying the skills you develop in our recently upgraded laboratory facilities.

AMAP

Our Engineering team is engaged in a wide range of industry projects via AMAP including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and Consultancy. AMAP is also host to the North East Maintenance Forum (NEMF) – a quarterly meeting attended by a wide range of industrial representatives from a number of sectors including manufacturing, process industries and utilities. Several academics are also engaged in activities with professional engineering institutions such as the The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
