Postgraduate Certificate in Health Practice

If you have a degree in nursing or a health-related area and you'd like to extend your knowledge and skills for advanced practice in the health sector, this six month online programme will equip you with the confidence and skills to plan and co-ordinate multiple, complex patient care demands in your chosen specialisation.

The postgraduate certificate in health practice offers a selection of courses designed to meet the needs of health practitioners, health sector managers and other professionals whose practice has a focus on health.

To achieve the certificate you need to complete two of the available courses within two years.

* This programme includes compulsory two-day onsite workshops at the Madras Street campus for some courses.

^ Please note that not all courses are offered in both semesters, and that some courses are prerequisites for others. Part-time up to 3 years.

If you're a New Zealand registered nurse or health professional, this is an excellent opportunity for ongoing professional development resulting in a formal qualification. Beyond this qualification you could consider a postgraduate diploma in health science or a Masters in nursing or health science.
