To qualify for the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, students must have a MS or ME degree from a program in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
Clarkson University also offers an off-campus PhD option designed to assist qualified non-resident candidates to matriculate at Clarkson University as doctoral degree candidates.
The PhD program requires consists of 90 credit hours. Students are also required to pass a comprehensive exam and complete a PhD candidacy procedure. A written dissertation must be submitted by each PhD candidate and defended orally as part of the final examination.
