Clarkson University provides research facilities that uphold its reputation for excellence. Students can access technologically advanced laboratories that empower students with opportunities to conduct hands-on research across numerous disciplines. Engineering students are particularly attracted to the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering because it has advanced laboratories, machine shops, and design studios. The Snell Hall Innovation Hub encourages entrepreneurship and innovation, with students able to use prototyping tools, 3D printers, and business incubation resources.

There are 240 intramural teams at the University, with sports playing a big part in the campus community feel. Sports teams play at the Cheel Arena for hockey games and events, and there are fitness centres with associated equipment for student use. The library has extensive resources ranging from printed materials and books to quiet study spaces.

City Life

Potsdam is a village in the Town of Potsdam in St. Lawrence County, New York. Many of its inhabitants attend the local University close to the Canadian border, allowing students to feel surrounded by people their age who share their interests. Students graduate with either a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Professional Studies, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science, Master of Arts in Teaching, Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Physical Therapy.
