BA Theology

Courses offer in-depth studies in areas such as biblical studies, systematic theology, historical theology, Christian education and Christianity in society.

Theology coursework begins with introductory study of the Old Testament, the New Testament and Lutheran theology. You will also take courses including Christian Life, the Church and its Ministry, World Religions and Senior Seminar in Theology.

Once you complete your introductory courses in theology, you may then take upper-level offerings. These include specialized courses in the Bible, advanced courses in Church history and additional courses in Christian thought. Concordia-Chicago also has introductory and intermediate courses in Biblical Greek and Hebrew. Those allow you to read the Christian scriptures in their original language.

You may also opt to minor in theology. This is a great complement to the many programs offered at CUC, including philosophy, history, theatre, communication and political science.
