With a fundamental interest in materials science this course will develop your understanding of materials’ properties, selection, processing and advanced design procedures.

Accreditation

Re-accreditation for the MSc in Advanced Materials is currently being sought with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), The Welding Institute (TWI), Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3),Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Candidates must hold a CEng accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate first degree to comply with full CEng registration requirements.
