AAS Addiction Services
The Addiction Services program is designed to equip students to enter the workforce as a Chemical Abuse Counselor. Upon completion of the program, students will be issued the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Standardized Certificate of Completion of 350 hours of course work necessary to apply for the Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State. The program combines coursework in diagnostic assessment, evaluation, intervention, referral and counseling in individual and group settings and field experience through a 135 hour internship in the Chemical Abuse Counseling field.
