BA (Hons) International Business
A set of Global Goals has been designed by the United Nations to describe the ways that society can end world-wide issues such as poverty and inequality.
These businesses need graduates who have an international perspective, an understanding of global issues and a passion to improve business and society. The opportunities to experience and challenge the industry that you are most passionate about are available here at Glasgow Caledonian University. You will enjoy working alongside students from different business disciplines and learning from international leaders of enterprise and social enterprise. Research-based teaching and live casework cover core subjects like international finance, human resources, business economics, and international marketing. Through masterclass and guest lecture events, you will explore real examples of professional practice that have had a positive impact on international business and society.
Professional Accreditation
This programme has been awarded EPAS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS represents excellence in management development internationally. EPAS accredited degrees such as this meet the high-quality standards set for programme delivery.
Assessment and Teaching Methods
You will receive a range of individual and group assessments. Exams are used in some modules; however, many assignments are coursework based. You will be asked for written reports, presentations, portfolios, blogs and wikis on subjects you are studying.
We provide experiential learning. This means that you get to take part in real-world projects, case studies and research-based assessments. You will find that this way of learning gives you an expertise that is easier to transfer into real life practice. Live case work can help improve your critical thinking in the business context. During your degree you will build a bank of experiences that will prepare you for a range of careers in international business.
Successful leaders and managers need to know how to work as part of a diverse, often virtual team. We believe that group work is an essential practice for every business student. We actively feature group projects, presentations and report writing in our degree modules.
