MS Kinesiology and Recreation - Athletic Training
Athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who render service or treatment under the direction of, or in collaboration with, a physician in accordance with the state’s statutes, rules, and regulations. As part of the health care team, services provided by athletic trainers include patient care in five domains of clinical practice: prevention; clinical evaluation and diagnosis; immediate care; treatment and rehabilitation; and organization and professional health and well-being.
The Master of Athletic Training is designed for individuals who did not earn an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training or did not earn certification as an Athletic Trainer in their undergraduate major.
