The University offers on-campus housing options, including traditional residence halls, suite-style living, and apartments. Hewett and Manchester halls are examples of conventional residence halls that are co-ed and community-style. The world's tall residence hall is on the Illinois State University campus: Watterson Towers. There are three options for suite-style living housing arrangements for students to choose between private and shared bedrooms, living areas, and kitchens.

The Tri-Towers area includes apartments that have one to four bedrooms available. If students would prefer to live off-campus, the University Housing Services website is where they should consider applying after surveying every housing option available.
