We're committed to supporting you to achieve your career goals, and have a dedicated Careers and Employability team who can assist you to navigate your options beyond Keele.This Single Honours degree in Forensic Science and Criminology allows you to explore how criminal investigations are conducted, how evidence is collected, analysed and presented, as well as how investigations (and the victims and offenders associated with them) fit into the wider criminal justice system.Studying this degree will provide a solid grounding in the core principles and practice of forensic science, as well as an understanding of the wider context of crimes and responses to them. You will develop not only experience in forensic investigation, but also knowledge and skills in analytical science, thereby laying the foundation for your future career. You will work alongside academic and technical staff, supported by contributions from forensic professionals, in our modern laboratory facilities. You may also learn from active criminological researchers who specialise in areas such as criminal justice, prisons, rehabilitation, community safety, and a range of different forms of policing. In addition you will examine the nature and causes of crime and offending plus the methods used to collect and analyse criminological data.This course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences.
