BA (Hons) Digital Marketing
You’ll explore the customer experience, including the psychology of online influence and the customer journey as well as online reputation, the meaning of branding and crisis management.
You’ll investigate tools and techniques for search engine optimisation and digital analytics, ensuring you can prove your marketing ideas are working, and study strategy and community management, as well as day-to-day customer communications.
You’ll use (at least) the big seven social networking platforms, as well as other online communities, and create all manner of media: audio, video, infographics, memes, copy and websites.
We’ll help you to become an independent professional and a team player, understanding the dynamics of ideation, creativity and collaboration. You’ll practise pitching and presenting as part of a team, and you’ll start your own social media channels, growing your own audience and influence online, to evidence your skillset.
In your second and third year, you can tailor your degree to your own interests and aspirations. Alongside Online Community Management and Digital Marketing Communications, Strategy & Analysis, you can choose to learn about Interactive Storytelling, Transmedia Production or PR and Promotions and can undertake your own Creative Project.
You’ll also have the chance to expand your knowledge and experience by going on an international study trip, where flights and accommodation will be funded by the University. Previous students have flown to Amsterdam, Netherlands, visiting the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, the Port of Rotterdam, Heineken Brewery and the Gassan Diamond Factory.
