The East Asian Languages and Cultures (EALC) major provides intensive studies in the languages and cultures of East Asia, focusing on China and Japan, the world's #2 and #3 largest economies and important U.S. trading partners. EALC prepares students for careers in government, defense, science, engineering, technology, education, and publishing.
