Post Master’s - Advanced Counseling
In our programs, you will acquire the professional skills to work with diverse populations in school counseling, clinical mental health counseling and addictions counseling. The Counseling programs prepare students to be culturally competent social justice counselors to work with diverse populations of all ages in the following four areas: clinical mental health counseling, addictions counseling, school counseling and student affairs/higher education. Our diverse group of faculty members engage in scholarly research and hold national leadership positions in professional associations, including the American Counseling Association (ACA). Note that all programs are available for part-time or full-time study. Information on each of these programs is below.
This 9-21 credit Advanced Counseling Certificate program is designed to fulfill state-level and national standards for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC). A master’s degree in counseling is required to apply for this program. Once admitted, students receive individualized programs of study based upon program and state requirements. Students may be required to complete clinical internships.
