Overview
You can expect an exciting and challenging hands-on education that is built on a foundation of the liberal arts, and includes valuable, direct work experience through internships and exposure to management fundamentals by highly motivated and experienced faculty.

If you are interested in “sitting” for the CPA exam, you can qualify to participate in our accelerated Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program and earn both a BSA and an MSA in under five years. Both degrees May be earned with a combined 148 credits.

Live What You Learn
- Internships. Hands-on internships are not only strongly encouraged and broadly supported, they are required for Accounting majors. Recent accounting internships have included Bayer Corporation; Bloomberg Financial Services; Taconic International; Henniker Brewing Company; New London (NH) Hospital; Madison Earth Care; William F. Sullivan, CPA; and more.
- Case Study Competition. Recently, a group of accounting students competed in the Ethics Case Competition at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont.

Degree Requirements
Accounting, B.S.
Accelerated Program in Accounting:
(BS & MS in Accounting in 148 credits)
Students wishing to pursue both a BS and MS in Accounting can apply to participate in the accelerated masters program. Under this degree path undergraduate students complete 12 MSA credit hours while pursuing a BS in Accounting. These credit hours will count as required hours for both the BS and MS degree, allowing students to complete a BS and MS in 148 credits instead of 160. Students wishing to pursue this option must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, approval of the Associate Dean of the Management Division, Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Dean of Professional and Graduate Studies, and acceptance into the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
