GLOBAL STUDIES at NTU will allow you to study a variety of world views surrounding intercultural communications, globalised media and world cities. You’ll gain a well-rounded knowledge of the global dimensions which affect social, cultural, political and economic issues. The course investigates the inequalities that are posed and are being posed into developing countries and through this you'll recognise global trends and tensions. This diverse course will allow you to engage with the world as a global citizen whilst supplying you with the tools to succeed in the growing international workplace. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS at NTU explores the changing world in which we live in. It will provide you with an understanding of the changing world in which we live in, in regards to; people, social movements and religious communities. You'll be able to develop a greater understanding of the complexity and contentedness of the processes that shape our worlds. The course allows you to focus on the big issues which control contemporary international politics such as; war, various forms of conflict, terrorism and the media. Joint honours courses develop a wide range of skills. These include written and oral communication skills, critical analysis and a variety of IT skills. But you’ll also become more self-motivated, be able to work independently and in teams, and develop excellent time management skills. 98% of our international relations joint honours undergraduates are in work or further study within just six months of finishing their degree (DLHE 2016-17).
