Associate of Science (AS) Business Administration

The degree program includes courses to meet the needs of businesses that desire employees who are educated in business and also have a global perspective. This curriculum, therefore, requires courses in the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences in addition to business courses in economics and accounting. The program is comparable in length and course content to the first two years of baccalaureate business administration curricula so that students who earn the AS degree will be prepared for transfer to four-year colleges or universities. Students should become familiar with the requirements of the major department at the contemplated transfer institutions. When students have a choice of courses, they should base their choice on the requirements of the transfer institutions. The responsibility for proper course selection rests with the student. Students who complete the program and fulfill all other graduation requirements will be awarded the associate of science degree in business administration.
