LLB (Hons) Law is the key route that students follow if they plan to enter the legal profession. From the opportunity to take part in mock trials to student conferences, the unique feature of this award is its student-centred, practical approach to learning. You’ll be offered a supportive, guided environment to practise skills for careers in the legal sector and to create awareness of the roles of law and lawyers in society.
We have three-year, part-time and accelerated degrees. There is also a Foundation year route for students who may not have the necessary academic profile for entry onto one of our three or two-year courses or who have been out of formal education for a while and would like to enhance their skills and capabilities first.
Pathway Options
On the three-year degree, you will be given the chance to specialise in a particular aspect of law in your second and third years, tailoring your study to align with your career aspirations. You will be able to continue to study Law as a broad subject, or specialise by taking one of the following pathways: Bar, Professional or Digital.
The Bar pathway has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Academic Component of becoming a Barrister, whilst our LLB (Hons) Law Professional pathway is particularly suitable if you aspire to qualification as a solicitor as it focuses on client-facing skills and subject knowledge for modern practice.. Our Digital pathway is ideal for exploring the impact on law of cutting-edge technologies and to provide you with legal expertise in a rapidly evolving, digital world.
This course allows study of all the core subjects found on an on campus Law degree, but online.
