BA (Hons) History and Welsh (a pathway for First Language Students) with a Year Abroad
COURSE OVERVIEW
History and Welsh explores medieval, early modern and modern history through subjects including women’s history and gender, cultural history and the history of religion, health and medicine. You will also learn about Welsh language rights, Multiculturalism and Welsh Language and Literature throughout the centuries.

YOUR HISTORY AND WELSH (A PATHWAY FOR FIRST LANGUAGE STUDENTS) EXPERIENCE
During your three-year History and Welsh course you will have an academic mentor for any pastoral and academic support you may need, and The Society of Ancient Studies and History student society organises social and cultural events.
Throughout your course you will study a wide variety of modules. The Welsh Department has expertise in the areas of: Language and Linguistics; Language and Policy; Literature.
You can also study optional modules in Creative Writing and Gender and Culture, the latter with specialist researchers and lecturers.
You will have the opportunity to take part in valuable work experience.
