Our three-year Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science BSc degree is structured to give you a thorough understanding of the field of computer science whilst providing you with the opportunity to develop a strong theoretical grounding in Artificial Intelligence with many opportunities to put this in to practice.

Artificial Intelligence is one of the current hot topics in Computer Science, and society more broadly. It is at the heart of everyday technology and the understanding and application of AI holds the key to solving many current and future real-world problems. In your first and second year you will study a range of compulsory modules which will enable you to gain a solid understanding in the fields of computer science and Artificial Intelligence. You will take part in an AI-related team project in your second year that will require you to combine the design and implementation of state of the art AI algorithms with software engineering best practices.

Your third year enables you to tailor your degree to suit your interests, strengths and future career with a wide range of modules and an individual project. The flexibility of the course means that in your third year you can choose to specialise in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence, depending on your interests, or you can take a mixture of modules.
