BA (Hons) Education, Philosophy and Religion (Foundation Entry)

The course encourages you to build advanced study skills and provides you with more specialist skills in Education, Philosophy and Religion. You will develop the study skills that are essential in higher education, and these will include subject-specific skills preparing you for Year one of the BA undergraduate course. There will be a target award through an extended study of your combined subjects, and you will be supported in developing your subject knowledge.

Your modules will be taught by subject specialists, and you will look at the study of History, Philosophy, Politics, International Relations, and Religion. In Education you will study theories of learning and child development, student disaffection, educational inequalities, and comparative education.

You will develop enhanced digital literacy skills by conducting research on issues relevant to your target award and using your interests to produce an extensive analysis of a key chosen topic.
