At its heart, International Relations, is a discussion - at the individual, state and international level - it is about power within a global context. Its breadth allows for the development of student-oriented specialisms. State and non-state actors are examined through theoretical and practical lenses. Issues concerning security, war, terrorism, humanitarian interventions, the environment, the economy and how governments communicate are key areas.Chinese: By the end of this course you will have had the opportunity to develop all your language skills to a very high level, as well as studying a range of cultural and historical contexts. You will have had the chance to undertake exciting placements in China and to gain invaluable knowledge and experience of contemporary China.
