Orthopaedics is a vast field in medicine, and central to the treatment of patients in this area has been the technology behind many orthopaedic innovations. For example, twenty-five years ago there was only one type of artificial hip - today there are more than sixty. This rapid development has considerable implications for those working in the fields of orthopaedics, biomechanics, sports, and rehabilitation.

You'll understand the principles involved in the development and application of orthopaedic technology, orthopaedic biomechanics, and sports biomechanics. Many of our students have had the opportunity to present their research at conferences or have it published in peer-review journals.
