ECONOMIC & SOCIAL HISTORY: -Economic and social history is the study of the way societies change in their economic activities and social organisation. It is concerned with how people in the past lived and worked, and how this has affected the development of today’s world. It is possible to do this degree together with a language, including a year abroad. CELTIC STUDIES: - Celtic Studies provides the opportunity to choose from a range of courses on the medieval and modern Celtic languages of the British Isles (Scottish Gaelic, Irish and Welsh) and their associated cultures. You will have the opportunity to study the medieval and modern cultures of the Celtic-speaking peoples, with scholars at the cutting edge of research: and learn a Celtic language of the British Isles.
