BA (Hons) Politics

This flexible and broad programme explores the different approaches to political science in a range of national and international settings. You will explore political ideas, systems and processes and you will learn how to collect data, develop knowledge and construct arguments. We place particular emphasis on developing your communication skills. You will be introduced to the building blocks of political studies, and no prior specialist knowledge is required. Based on academic performance, Year Three students studying Politics at Single Honours or as a Major may apply to take part in the Parliamentary Placement Scheme.This programme is available with a Year in China. The Year in China allows undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China please put the option code YC in the Further Choices section of your UCAS application form.
