This concentration offers focused training in the performance and mastery of percussion instruments, including snare drum, timpani, mallet instruments, drum set, and world percussion. Students explore a broad repertoire spanning classical, contemporary, jazz, and global traditions. The curriculum includes private lessons, ensemble participation (such as percussion ensemble, orchestra, and wind ensemble), and solo performance opportunities. Emphasis is placed on rhythm, coordination, musicality, and versatility across multiple percussion setups.
