The MRes Digital Art and Technology is an interdisciplinary, research-focused programme designed for artists, interaction designers, musicians, game developers and innovators to develop their own practice. By framing the practice into critical discourse through the creative and innovative application of digital technologies, it nurtures innovation and experimentation by challenging the boundaries of digital arts and creative media practice across the traditional disciplines.

  • Establish and define your personal digital practice through your major project. Tailor your assessment to your own creative needs, by choosing from different proportions of practical and written work. Explore your individual interests with the support of two dedicated project supervisors.
  • There are international research collaborations through the Institute of Digital Art and Technology (i-DAT).

Overseas applicants must submit their application 4.5 months prior to the proposed programme start date. For Home/EU applicants the deadline is 2.5 months prior to the proposed programme start date. There are three possible start dates per year, 1 October, 1 January and 1 April.
