Summary

This exciting MSc will provide you with a critical understanding of the key concepts, principles and theories in the areas of Sport and Exercise Sciences (SES). You will have the chance to develop your practical and analytical skills of laboratory techniques in our excellent facilities, giving you a range of transferable skills related to the field which you will be able to apply to either further study or employment.

Sport and Exercise Sciences is a discipline that has its roots in biomechanics, psychology, physiology and metabolism and its interaction with exercise and nutrition. The field of SES has developed a great deal over the past century and contributes greatly to our understanding of societal issues including health and disease as well as elite sporting performance. Students can also exit with PGCert and PGDip awards.

Careers

This programme successfully prepares graduates to take up positions as Exercise Physiologists, Biomechanists, Performance Consultants, PhD students, Researchers, Health Care Professionals, Lecturers and Data Analysts.
