BA (Hons) Primary Education (QTS)

University of Roehampton

Do you want to inspire young people and help change lives, get a great starting salary and have a rewarding career? Teaching offers you all of this.

Being able to inspire future generations and see young children grow and develop with your help, is unlike any other job. Employment prospects are equally rewarding, with 100% of Roehampton's BA Primary Education graduates in work or further study 15 months after leaving us.

Roehampton consistently outperforms other education degree providers in London, being ranked either top or second in the capital for education by the Complete University Guide in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The course is designed to include at least 24 weeks’ school placement* experience. Roehampton's vast network of 400 partner schools across London and the south east means we are able to ensure your placements are all within a reasonable commute, and that they include a diverse range of school types.

Completing this teacher training degree will give you Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You will be taught by a supportive, highly driven team of academic staff, who will ensure you receive the very best preparation for going into teaching. Their approach, plus the experience of being out on placements, helps foster a terriffic camaraderie among BA Primary Education students, unlike that on any other degree course. Need convincing?
