Based in USW's Cardiff campus, this Journalism degree covers the basic skills of finding and telling stories, as well as the specialist skills needed to work in print, radio, TV and on the web. You’ll learn traditional skills that underpin all types of journalism, along with a huge range of multimedia skills to make you more employable. Add to that entrepreneurialism and a rigorous academic education, and our journalism graduates have the best chance of success in a tough market. Three weeks’ works experience form a vital part of this journalism course, and we will help you get your work published and build your CV.Court visits are integral, as are interview techniques, which can be honed during police press conferences. Mobile journalism or ‘mojo’ is now a key element of the course with cutting edge workshops on smartphone reporting and production. Throughout your Journalism degree, you will learn from a wide range of industry professionals, including our own teaching staff and visiting lecturers from the BBC, ITV, magazines, and the national and local press. This Journalism degree is BJTC accredited (subject to reaccreditation).
