BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences
The Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences course provides graduates with a strong foundation in sport, exercise and medicine. The course coincides with the introduction of the University of Sunderland, School of Medicine and complements the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing’s strong selection of courses in nursing, sport, health and biomedical sciences. Students will graduate as highly employable well positioned individuals specialising in three key areas; i) the use of sport (in its widest context of physical activity) for health, injury and rehabilitation, ii) improving public health through sport and exercise and iii) and the prevention and treatment of patients using exercise testing and prescription. **This course is Subject to Approval.
