MSc Neuroscience
Neuroscientists investigate the mind and brain – from molecules to behaviour. Applications for our research range from medicine to artificial intelligence. With over 50 research groups on campus, Sussex Neuroscience is one of the largest and most interconnected neuroscience communities in the UK. Our expertise includes sensory processing, neural circuits, synapses and ion channels, and neurodegeneration.
The MSc has a strong research focus. You’ll be taught and supervised by research faculty across the Schools of Life Sciences, Psychology, Engineering and Informatics, and Brighton and Sussex Medical School. The project provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity for you to work with one of our interdisciplinary research groups. In addition to the core modules, where you’ll explore cellular and systems neuroscience approaches, our wide range of options allows you to focus on areas that interest you most.
CareerGraduating from this course will put you in a strong position to move into doctoral study, as well as industrial research and related fields such as human-computer interaction and healthcare.
