AS in Real Estate, Occupational

The Real Estate Program is designed to serve the individual planning to enter the real estate profession, the person who wishes to improve skills and qualify for the real estate sales and broker’s license, and active professionals working on license renewal. Upon completing the Real Estate Program, students are eligible for positions in real estate sales offices, banks, savings and loan corporations, title companies, escrow companies, organizations, and as independent real estate brokers.Courses are offered at both campuses. Students may take classes at either campus and complete requirements for the major. Real estate brokers and sales persons must also pass an examination given by the State of California, Department of Real Estate. An Associate in Science degree is awarded for satisfactory performance in major courses (six Real Estate courses listed plus Business 101, 107, and 112) as well as completion of general education and graduation requirements. All students should consult a counselor.
