Georgian College of Applied Arts and TechnologyStudents develop knowledge and skills demanded by the rapidly evolving safety and security industry. Areas of study include investigative techniques, defensive skills and use of force theory, security procedures, crisis intervention, emergency management and cyber security.During a common first year with the Police Foundations and Community and Justice Services programs, students are provided with an overall understanding of criminal justice and law enforcement in Canada, and they have the opportunity to transfer between these programs after the first year. Second-year students develop the specialized knowledge and skills demanded by today’s security and investigation industry.
