MMEd Music Performance - Conducting

Students pursuing the Master of Music in Conducting are given extensive podium time and are mentored by dedicated and active conducting faculty. Upon graduation students are prepared to:

  • seek their doctoral degree
  • conduct school, church or community ensembles
  • conduct at a community college or university

The curriculum includes:

  • applied conducting
  • analysis for conductors
  • research
  • practicum in conducting
  • electives chosen from courses like non-degree recitals, music technology, music history, music theory, music education, music therapy, music business, jazz studies, ensembles, and non-music courses
