BS Sustainability Science (Combined BS/MS)
Montclair State University sustainability programs lead the way in New Jersey in integrating natural and physical science with social science, economics, policy and project management to prepare sustainability professionals and managers to tackle society’s most complex and pressing environmental problems.
With one additional year of study you can earn both your BS and MS degrees. Students take 12 credits of graduate-level coursework in the senior “swing year,” which are applied to both the BS and MS degrees. These credits are billed at undergraduate tuition rate, a savings of over $250 per credit! The 5th year focuses on either a research-based thesis or an applied internship project.
