COURSE OVERVIEW

On our TESOL and English Literature degree, you will be able to gain the knowledge and skills to teach English as a second language, as well as exploring aspects of English literature from gothic fiction to creative writing.

Teaching English is a great way to see the world and this degree will provide practical and transferable skills to open up a range of exciting career opportunities.

During your three-year degree you’ll learn about theory and practice, language teaching methodology, vocabulary, grammar and meaning, psycholinguistics, first and second language acquisition and discourse analysis.

You will also be able to study a semester in the USA, Hong Kong or Singapore - an exciting experience, which will further enhance your career prospects.
