University of La Verne’s Master of Science in Finance prepares students for successful careers in finance with a broad understanding of financial economics and the ability to solve complex problems and develop strategies to guide the financial health of a company or organization.

The MS in Finance requires completion of eight core courses and two electives for a total of 10 courses (30 units). Some students may be required to complete up to six foundation courses—the program director will review each applicant’s undergraduate coursework and professional experience to determine if foundation courses are necessary.

The program takes just two years—or five 8-week sessions—to complete and can be taken on a full-time or part-time schedule. Classes are taught year-round and there are five start terms per year. Evening courses are available.

Students who are enrolled in the University of La Verne’s MBA program with a concentration in finance easily can earn a double degree with a Master of Science in Finance.
