BS Business Administration, Economics Concentration, MS Finance & Investment Management Combined Program

This combined bachelor’s/master’s degree program is designed to provide qualified students the opportunity to complete both degree programs in under 5 years. A student will earn a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and an M.S. in Finance & Investment Management.

B.S.B.A. Economics students must apply for admission to the 4+1 B.S. Economics/M.S. Finance program. Six hours of courses taken at the 500-level will be dual counted towards both degrees. Upon completion of the B.S. degree, students have the option to apply to the graduate school and continue progress towards the MSF degree.

For students with an Economics concentration who are applying to the 4+1 Program, the following schedule of MSF courses may be helpful in designing your 4+1 coursework:

  • FIN 532 - Economics for Financial Professionals: Offered during Spring I
  • FIN 533 - Derivatives & Risk Management: Offered during Fall II, and replaces FIN 433
  • FIN 540 - Portfolio Management and Wealth Planning: Offered during Summer I and replaces FIN 440
