Environmental Science Major

Students majoring in environmental science learn about the interactions of the physical and biological processes that shape the natural world. They examine how human’s affect nature, develop means of improving water and air quality, and create solutions to other environmental problems. The stimulating curriculum provides a foundation in the biological, chemical, and physical sciences, experience in environmental law, and culminates with a 15-week hands-on internship in an industrial or state agency setting. Environmental Science Marine Biology Major is a comprehensive program designed to prepare students for careers in the marine sciences.
