Students will gain the skills and knowledge to take responsibility for the day to day operational management of a pastoral farming production system. This qualification is targeted at people who are experienced workers in the agriculture industry and are looking to move into, or are at, a management level position in an agricultural production enterprise.

It is understood students should be employed on farms within the Taranaki area and will spend the majority of their time working in agricultural employment. Employment is a critical core component of this programme and essential to ensure all aspects of this programme are completed in a real work environment where any off-job/ theory assessment is seen to directly involve the workplace.

This programme is not eligible for weekly student allowances or living costs from Study Link.
