Our story
How did Edvoy start? It all began with one student with big dreams...
Meet Sadiq Basha, the founder and CEO of Edvoy.
As a young adult, he left Chennai, India, to pursue his Masters in London.
This was a time when internet research wasn’t easily accessible. He had to rely on an agent for help.
Sadly, he was taken for a ride.
He was sent to a University in Wales that was 340km from the promised destination.
While he managed a transfer to Greenwich University, he found out that he wasn’t the only student being deceived by agents.
He decided to do something about it.
While pursuing his studies, he helped aspiring students find universities that were right from them.
He found this so fulfilling, that in 2006, he founded his first company to help more students. Enter IEC Abroad.
In 2020, IEC went digital with Edvoy, where students from anywhere can get access to educational expertise.
Today, we’re proud to say that Edvoy has helped 85,000+ students pursue their study-abroad dreams.
