Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) was founded in 1962 and is located in Canterbury, England. It is one of the top universities in London, United Kingdom, ranked #1001-1200 in QS World University Rankings 2025.
CCCU maintained its silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) in 2023. It also ranks 1st in the UK for graduates in employment, out of 100 Higher Education Institutions with 3000 or more graduates, as per HESA: Graduate Outcomes 2023.

CCCU has a range of locations and student accommodations available in Canterbury and Medway.
The University offers accommodation at several locations in Canterbury close to the campus, at Petros Court, St George's Centre, Dover Street Houses, Lanfranc House, Pin Hill, Vernon Place, Colton House, and Holmes Court.
CCCU's Pier Quays student accommodation in Medway is just a ten-minute walk from the Medway Campus.
The University features a multi-million-pound Sports Centre with outstanding facilities. It includes a gym with the latest equipment, an interactive spin studio, a climbing wall and a double sports hall.
There are lots of sports that you can join at CCCU. These are run by the Students' Union and include cheerleading, lacrosse, boxing, volleyball, plus loads more.
CCCU has also partnered with local clubs and offers golf, kayaking, equestrian, trampolining, and athletics facilities.
The Canterbury campus contains the Hi-tech SportsLab and specialist science facilities. The Medway campus has the Stem Cell Research and Bio-Engineering Laboratory (SCRABEL), a regenerative medicine research and cutting-edge teaching facility. It includes a physio practical room, stem cell labs and a practising study area for research.
The University’s libraries contain study spaces and modern facilities, with access to books, print journals, e-journals, and e-books.
The Augustine House library at the Canterbury campus covers four floors with many learning spaces. The upper floors of the library offer stunning views over the city, including Canterbury Cathedral.
The campus features a large dining hall and the Touchdown Cafe, providing a wide range of hot and cold drinks and snacks.
As an international student, you’ll experience a diverse and vibrant community of students from over 80 countries. The University's student union has 60 different clubs and societies and organises events throughout the academic year.
