Highlights
LIM College was founded in 1939 as the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, focussing on fashion business and merchandising. LIM College has a community of students from around 40 countries.
LIM College was named one of the best fashion schools in the world in 2019 by the Business of Fashion (BoF Global Assessment of Fashion Education).
At LIM, you can join any of the 20+ special interest clubs and academic clubs of the College. You can also volunteer at events such as the New York Fashion Week, and participate in industry-sponsored competitions.

Library
The Adrian G. Marcuse Library houses a unique specialised reading collection on the fashion industry and LIM’s major areas of study. The library also provides a vast array of digital resources and electronic databases.
Laboratory
LIM College has several labs, including the Color and Materials Research Lab, a photography studio, visual and fashion merchandising studios, and Mac and PC labs.
Campuses
The campus consists of two buildings in Midtown Manhattan–the Fifth Avenue building and Maxwell Hall. Both are located within walking distance of each other and are close to multiple bus and subway lines.
Maxwell Hall
This building includes student services, such as the Office of Student Life, Career and Internship Services, and Counseling, among many others. It is also home to classrooms, the Adrian G. Marcuse Library, the Academic Resource Centre, and various student lounges.

The Office of Career and Internship Services provides personalised career planning and support services, such as one-on-one coaching, career education courses, career path discussions, and free lifelong coaching for alums.
