Highlights
Established in 1995, PFH Private University of Applied Sciences is Lower Saxony's oldest private, state-recognised university. The University focuses on practical learning, offering several courses in different fields of study. These are on-campus and distance-based, with 12 distance education study centres.
The University received institutional accreditation from the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA) in 2007 and was re-accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities in 2018, for its quality of education and academic excellence.
PFH University has around 4500 students, with around 650 on campus and 3850 in distance learning programs.
You can join the University's alumni club – the Club der Alumni der PFH e. V, where students come together for alumni meetups. The alumni club covers all study centres and campuses.

PFH Hansecampus Stade is close to the Stade Technology Centre, in the middle of Ottenbeck's industrial sector. The campus is located in CFK-Valley, a world-leading cluster of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) technology. The campus is well-connected by public transportation.
Stade is a city in Lower Saxony in northern Germany. Situated directly on the Elbe, Stade is a part of Hamburg's growing region. The city combines history with high-tech industry.
Stade is home to various historic buildings, including the St. Cosmae et Damiani Lutheran Church, the Wilhadi Lutheran Church, the city hall, the Schwedenspeicher and the Zeughaus.

PFH prides itself on its entrepreneurial focus, with the ZE Zentrum für Entrepreneurship (Centre for Entrepreneurship). The University collaborates with over 500 partner companies to help students gain hands-on experience and professional connections.
PFH also undertakes research projects in association with other universities and its Career Service assists students for employment in Germany.
