Highlights
The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a polytechnic institute in Calgary, Canada, and offers over 110 career programs in technology, trades, and business. Established in 1916, it is Canada's first publicly funded technical institute and Calgary's second-oldest post-secondary institution.
The Student Engagement Office helps you build your social network and leadership skills through various programs, events, and activities. You can choose from over 50 student clubs at the University, meet new people who share your interests, and even join industry networking events.
SAIT has two residence buildings on the main campus - Begin Tower and East Hall. The Begin Tower offers two spacious living suites - studio apartments and two-bedroom, one-bathroom suites. East Hall offers private one-bedroom, one-bathroom and shared four-bedroom, two-bathroom suites. All units come fully furnished with utilities included.

Library
The Reg Erhardt Library at the University has various study spaces and equipment. Within the library, you can access print and digital collections, with an inclusive environment.
Sports
SAIT offers a wide range of sports and recreation facilities. These include the Recreation Centre (The Rec Centre), the SAIT Gymnasium, and outdoor sports fields for soccer, football, and rugby. SAIT also offers an outdoor track, an ice rink, and the SAIT Sports Performance Centre, among many other facilities.
Laboratory
There are many labs at the University for Engineering and Technology, Health and Life Sciences, Trades and Construction, Information Technology and Computing, and Culinary Arts.
Cafeteria
SAIT has several cafes spread across the campus, offering diverse food options. The Trojan Bistro is one of the main dining locations on the SAIT campus, providing a variety of meal options. The Heritage Hall Cafe in Heritage Hall offers a more relaxed environment to study or take a break.
Campuses
Located in the heart of Calgary, SAIT’s main campus provides easy access to the rest of the city. The LRT/CTrain (Calgary Public Transit) connects the campus to nearby locations like Kensington, downtown, the Calgary Tower, and the Stampede Grounds. Grocery stores, restaurants, and parks are within walking distance of the campus, while many shopping centres are a short drive away.
SAIT has three other campuses in Calgary, including Mayland Heights, the Culinary Campus, and the Art Smith Aero Centre. SAIT’s central location offers you access to numerous attractions in Calgary, such as Prince’s Island Park, Stephen Avenue, the Glenbow Museum, and many more.
