Highlights
Troy University is a public University comprising a network of campuses throughout Alabama and globally. Founded in 1887 as Troy State Normal School within the Alabama State University System, it is now a powerhouse of higher education. More than 1000 International Students enrol at Troy University every year.
International in its focus, Troy University offers a range of undergraduate courses that include Global Business Management, Cybersecurity, Human Resource Management and more.
The Learning Center provides free tutoring, study groups, and peer academic skills coaching for Troy University enrolled students. The Troy University Libraries are vast and well-stocked, with access provided to 250+ databases so students can easily find learning materials on campus. The career services team makes a concerted effort to help students with CV reviews, cover letters and interview techniques so they are well-positioned to find graduate work. The athletics facilities at Troy University span across different sports disciplines, with multiple arenas: the Troy soccer complex, Lunsford tennis complex, Troy softball complex, Troy golf practice facility, the Trojan arena, Riddle-pace field, and Veterans memorial stadiums.
International students can choose to live in on-campus accommodation in one of the many residence halls located on campus. This gives students the chance to socialise with peers on their course as they share kitchen and bathroom facilities. Shared common areas provide the chance to talk and relax conveniently, without having to leave the house. Trojan Village is a coed living space with air conditioning, a shared living space and individual bedrooms. The majority of these apartments are four bedroom units. Each unit has individual bedrooms.
The University also offers a 48-unit apartment complex, primarily to accommodate married students and single parents. International students often opt for a homestay arrangement with a local trusted family so they can immerse themselves in the local culture and language.
Troy University is known as Alabama's International University and as such, student life at Troy University is celebrative of its rich multicultural student body. Troy University is home to more than 150 student organisations in academic, cultural, sports and other fields. From Greek life to special interest societies such as The Swing Dance Club or the Board Game Alliance, there is lots of activity occurring on campus. 200+ Annual Fine Arts Performances occur on campus throughout the year.
The Dining Service on the Troy University campus provides fresh food and a range of dietary options in its Trojan Dining Hall with five wildly different food stations. The 300-seat Adams Center Performing Arts Theatre is situated on the second floor of the Trojan Center and often shows drama performances.

Undergraduate scholarships are granted by application only, with the types and amounts varying widely each year. The International Education Scholarship is for new undergraduate students who have elevated academic achievement and will be enrolled full-time in academic courses. The scholarship will provide the student between $9,300 and $14,000 annually (across two semesters).
The International Honors Scholarship is granted to students who have maintained a minimum of a 3.0 Cumulative Institutional GPA during their first two semesters at Troy University. The annual value is $9,300 and $14,000. The International Trojan Opportunity scholarship encourages students to transition from an overseas Troy location to the Alabama campus as unconditionally admitted students. This scholarship has a value of between $9,300 and $14,000 annually. Graduate Assistantships are available: students must apply after receiving admission to the university. Graduate scholarships can also be accessed via submission of an application.
