MSc Engineering Management
About the course
Engineering management is a specialised field of management concerned specifically with the engineering sector. Reflecting industry demand for management-focused engineers, this course is designed to extend the knowledge, skills and ability of graduates in engineering, technology and applied science to the level required of senior management positions in the engineering industry.
Industrial productivity and performance of many manufacturing companies is considered by many to be of concern. Part of the underlying cause of this problem is the lack of highly-educated and trained engineering and technology graduates entering the Engineering Management discipline. During this course you will study advanced modules covering such areas as; project and finance management, new product development, and quality systems and measurements, these modules should provide you with a greater depth of knowledge and skill.
Graduates of this course are likely to progress to roles as an engineering manager. You may also find opportunities in general management in a wide range of sectors, although your skills would be most appropriate in management roles that benefit from a background in engineering, such as manufacturing or technical service industries.
Enhance your career
